Join Mount Baker Wild for the first annual
North Cascades Rendezvous & Campout!
Saturday & Sunday, September 20 - 21, 2008
at Newhalem Campground in beautiful North Cascades National Park
You are invited to experience the beauty of the North Cascades and meet some of your friends in the Washington conservation community. Hear the story behind the efforts to preserve this amazing place. Participate in a trip down the Wild and Scenic designated Skagit River and celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act or hike up one of the regions pristine valleys.
Activities
- Blue Sky Outfitters' Wild & Scenic Act 40th Anniversary Skagit River raft trip (Pre-registration required, $25 fee)
- Guided hikes (easy/moderate/hard)
- Free food and drinks (Sat. dinner, Sun. breakfast)
- Overnight campout
- Dinner presentation by author Ken Wilcox
- Socializing
- Evening campfire and much more!
Additional Information
Newhalem Campground is located 14 miles east of Marblemount on Hwy 20
All outings (hikes/river trip) leave from Newhalem Campground promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 20th
Rain or shine
If you are interested in participating in the Skagit River raft trip, pre-registration is required
Please bring a bag lunch for Saturday
Please bring proper gear and apparel for outings and campout
